Automobiles in Germany's City Found Smeared with Swastikas in Human Blood, Law Enforcement Report

Police mentioned they were contacted by a man who found a car in Hanau smeared with reddish liquid

Roughly 50 automobiles have been covered with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's town of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, according to police.

Cars, walls and postboxes were marked, in some cases with prohibited symbols, they reported in a release.

Law enforcement state they were contacted late on Wednesday evening, when a resident discovered that a vehicle in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been covered with a red-colored substance.

The fluid had been applied in the pattern of a banned symbol, they stated.

Police then located numerous other marked automobiles and residential walls in the surrounding area.

These symbols are banned in Germany under regulations banning the public exhibition of Nazi symbols.

Police say early analysis suggest the substance was most likely blood from a person.

"At present there remains no lead as to its origin; officials are presently not cognizant of any injuries in association with the event," they commented.

Municipal representatives stated they were working "to resolve the case" and have asked to the residents for information.

A senior representative stated the vandalism left him without words and had to be solved promptly.

"This act affects the core of Hanau and reopens the trauma of the extremist attack in 2020," he stated on a platform, referring to the killing of nine people by a assailant aiming at people of immigrant origin in 2020.
